Barents Protected Area Network (BPAN)

The major goal of the BPAN is to establish representative, well managed and effective network of protected areas with a high degree of probability to maintain balance in vulnarable biodiversity of the Region.
The Project will be implemented in 2011-2013 in all 13 BEAC administrative regions under supervision and in coordination with the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and with support on the part of the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Governments of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russian Federation and WWF Russia Barents office.
