Baltic Link Gdynia-Karlskrona

The activities within our project consist of a new combined terminal in Alvesta, upgrading of the railway Emmaboda-Karlskrona (part of the Coast to coast line) and infrastructure investments in the Port of Karlskrona in Sweden together with investments in the Port of Gdynia in Poland.

This project aims to strengthen cross border cooperation in energy management to increase business cooperation among South Kola region in Russia, Finnish Lapland and Norrbotten Sweden.

ENVIMINE

While new mines will be put into operation, active deposits are scheduled for closure.

The challenges of the mine closure will arise; closed mines may have a negative impact on surrounding water, soil and air. This can be prevented by good planning, and therefore, information about the surroundings of the mine in question is needed.The project will develop innovative methodology concerning environmentally safe mine closure under specific conditions of Barents area. This will be done in cooperation between mining and environment expert from three countries. The project has three case mines from Sweden, Finland and Russia.

The Baltic Sea Hub and Spokes project is a project co-funded by the TEN-T Motorways of the Sea programme that creates the necessary framework for an integrated maritime transport system.

This website generates, gathers and disseminates knowledge and information on the Northern Dimension. The website is maintained by the Northern Dimension Institute (NDI), which is an open network community of universities and research institutes.
