Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) has published new calls for proposals on its website. SIU invites Norwegian higher education institutions to apply for funding for international cooperation through five programmes. Up to NOK 55 million (USD 9 million) will be allocated to Norwegian cooperation with BRICS, North America, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
The High North Programme supports collaboration between higher education institutions in Norway and institutions in Canada, China, Japan, Russia, the Republic of Korea and the United States in order to increase knowledge about the High North.
The Cooperation Programme with Russia supports cooperation between higher education institutions in Russia and Norway.
The UTFORSK Partnership Programme is administered by SIU in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway (RCN). This pilot programme aims at strengthening the linkage between higher education and research in international collaboration, and to increase cooperation between Norway and Brazil, China, India, Japan, Russia and South Africa. For this second call of the pilot phase a stronger emphasis is given on the collaboration between research, education and enterprises in the public and private sectors.
